Wanda Lee Miller, age 73 of Prestonsburg, Ky, wife of Ancil Miller, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2011 at her residence. She was born May 30, 1938 in East Point, Ky, the daughter of the late Otto and Arizona Collins Spencer. Wanda was a member of the Auxier Freewill Baptist Church and worked as the activity director at the Mountain Manor and Riverview Nursing Homes and as a correction officer in the Floyd County Detention Center. Wanda is survived by her husband, Ancil Miller, two sons, James Courtney (Kay) Miller and Sean Bradley Miller both of Prestonsburg, Ky., three daughters, Edna Faye (Raymond) Music of Paintsville, Ky., Ida Kaye (Philip) Allen of Prestonsburg, Ky., and Wilma Lee (Andy) Dye of Prestonsburg, Ky., three brothers, Bobby Joe Spencer of Little Paint, Ky., Otto Spencer of Prestonsburg, Ky., and Billy Clyde Spencer of Richlands, Va., two sisters, Willa Sue Flannery and Wilma Jean Daniels of Little Paint, Ky., seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by one son, Ancil Ray Miller, one brother, Larry Dean Spencer, and two sisters, Goldia Lou Morris and Helen Marie Spencer. Funeral services for Wanda Lee Miller will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Auxier Freewill Baptist Church, Auxier, Ky. with Bobby Joe Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the Miller Family Cemetery, Prestonsburg, Ky. with Hall Funeral Home caring for those arrangements. Visitation will be held after 6:00 p.m. Monday at Hall Funeral Home and after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church. |
