Bill Burga, age 92, of Oak Lawn Estates, Hager Hill, Kentucky, passed away Friday, March 18th, 2016 in Bidwell, Ohio.
Bill was born October 9th, 1923 in Wheelwright, Kentucky, son of the late Thomas Monroe and Polly Morgan Clark Burga. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Estelle Ward Burga, one step-son, Ray George, and one step-daughter, Patricia Ann Lowe.
He is survived by two sons, Bill Burga, Jr. of Grand Forks, North Dakota and Thomas D. Burga of Beach Fork, Illinois; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Turner of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; four step-sons, William George of Laura, Ohio, Roger George of Covington, Ohio, Jimmy Douglas George of Brazonia, Texas, and David George of Bradford, Ohio; two step daughters, Clara Jean Howard of Jamestwon, Ohio and Kay Grosnickle of Springboro, Ohio; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, nineteen step-grandchildren, and twelve step-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 23rd, 2016 in the Auxier Freewill Baptist Church with Arnold Turner, Jr. and Bobby Joe Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday, March 21st, 2016, 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 22nd, 2016.
Full military honors will be conducted by Auxier Chapter 18 D.A.V.
